Launch success: Boosting business startups

“If you’re offered a seat on a rocket ship, don’t ask what seat. Just get on.” That’s the advice Sheryl Sandberg once gave to a group of Harvard graduates at their commencement ceremony. It’s a pretty darn good suggestion for business owners too, especially startups.

Every business was a startup at some point (even the ones Sheryl Sandberg runs), and being a part of their evolution to success is part of what makes us jump out of bed in the morning. That’s why BOLD Marketing partnered with the Missouri Innovation Corporation at Southeast Missouri State University in 2016 to offer Launch U, a 5-week course that coaches aspiring and early-stage entrepreneurs through business planning, pitching and financials.

Becky Brown, owner of Cakes Reanimated, was one of two winners of the program’s pitch contest, and received a marketing assistance package from BOLD – including consulting services, a new logo, sales collateral and website redesign.
